Quick prep work before the cards started dictating the suffering.

🃏 THE THANG – “F3 Deck of Death”

The rules were simple:

Number cards = face value reps

Royals = 25 reps

Ace = 100 reps

Each suit brought a different flavor of misery and movement:

❤️ Hearts

➡️ Run to North End Zone

3 = 3x 300m Sprints

6 = Backward Run (40 yards)

Jack = 25 Plank Jacks

2 = 2x 200m Sprints

♦️ Diamonds

➡️ Run to South End Zone

2 = Hand Clap Merkins

6 = Wide Arm Merkins

Queen = 25 Diamond Merkins

4 = Carolina Dry Docks

10 = Incline Merkins

♣️ Clubs

➡️ Run to East 50-Yard Line

3 = High Slow Flutter Kicks

10 = Rosalitas

King = 25 American Hammers

7 = LBCs

9 = High Plank (90 sec)

♠️ Spades

➡️ Run to West 50-Yard Line

Ace = 100 Calf Raises

4 = Alternating Side Squats

6 = Jumping Lunges

9 = Low Slow Squats

5 = Standing Lunges

8 = Backward Lunges

Every card flip changed the battlefield.

Sprints punished the lungs. Merkins punished the chest. Lunges and squats torched the legs. Planks and core work finished whatever was left.

The deck showed no mercy.

Neither did the PAX.

🧠 COT MESSAGE – “Through the Fire, One Step at a Time”

The workout may have come from a deck of cards, but the message came straight from the fire.

Life puts every man through hard seasons:

Marriage struggles

Pressure at work

Parenting battles

Loss

Doubt

Fatigue

Injury

And when the heat rises, many men want to stop moving.

But steel is forged in fire.

Faith is forged in fire.

Men are forged in fire.

📖 James 1:2–4

“Consider it pure joy… whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance.”

Trials are not proof God abandoned you.

Sometimes the fire is exactly where He shapes you.

Perseverance usually isn’t dramatic:

One more step

One more rep

One more prayer

One more day showing up

You don’t need the entire path mapped out.

You just need to keep moving forward.

As Martin Luther King Jr. said:

“If you can’t fly, then run. If you can’t run, then walk. If you can’t walk, then crawl. But whatever you do, you have to keep moving forward.”

And as Winston Churchill reminded us:

“If you’re going through hell, keep going.”

Don’t stop in the middle of the fire.

Don’t build a camp in your struggle.

Keep moving.

Because:

Your brothers are counting on you

Your family is counting on you

God is not finished with you yet

 The Charge:

This week:

Put one foot in front of the other

Lean on your brothers

Trust God in the fire

Never quit

📣 ANNOUNCEMENTS

 BALL OF MAN

Arms linked. Heads bowed.

Another Saturday in the gloom.

Another step forward through the fire.

Remember to be a light in your areas of live, work, and play!

Axe out. 💪
